Make time to visit Iona Heritage Centre when you next come to Iona.
Learn about island life over the last few centuries; the fishing and crofting community, school and churches, artists, craftworkers, visitors and memorable events. View old photographs and search the family trees for your ancestors, many of whom emigrated to the New World. There is also information about the geology and wild flowers of Iona. There is a lot to see, so perhaps take a break in the Rookery Café, relax in the garden, browse the Gift Shop, or spend some quiet time in the historic Telford church.
Exhibition
The exhibition consists of panels, photographs, objects of interest, together with information about some notable island families and events.
Shop
The shop stocks a good selection of reasonably priced cards, gifts and books - many particularly relevant to Iona.
The Rookery Café
A new tenant will be running the cafe this year and it will be known as 'The Rookery Café'.
Opening Hours
The centre is open from 10.15am until 4.15pm daily, except Sundays.
